ENTERTAINMENT: How I Nurtured Wande Coal To Greatness- Mother

For every successful man, there is always a woman, and behind the downfall of everyman too, there will always be the traces of a woman, or so they say. In the instance of sensational Marvin Records superstar, Wande Coal, there is a woman who is the solid rock behind his musical relevance and that's his mother, Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe. She recently had a brief chat with Alonge Michael where she reluctantly revealed how she nursed Wande Coal to stardom. How did you nurse Wande Coal to stardom? It's God. He started in the church choir when we were in Redeemed Christian Church, the source of inspiration for his career is God and I always tell him to return all glory back to God. And whatever the challenges that comes along, he should just tell God, "I have not called myself, I didn't put myself in this position, you did so, God see me through". So, we have learnt to rely and put everything in God's care. It's not any human effort but God. I am not so righteous to have such a star as a son but God has decreed that, whosoever He chooses to bless, He blesses. How often do you see or when was the last time you saw him? Oh! That was last month, he's always busy as you know, he's always engaged in his career, I have come to realize this and I cope with it but we talk on the phone from time to time. When he was growing up; was there any trait of him becoming a star? I am a teacher, he started from school, in any gathering he would be singing and people would be rejoicing, sometimes he would crack jokes to the bewilderment of all and sundry. But I noticed that it was affecting his education and as a teacher, I didn't like that, you know, so I started to scold him and made sure he had good grades from secondary school. I monitored him through the secondary school but when he got to the university, there is little I could do to have control on him, so that gave him the opportunity to fully delve into his music. Till tomorrow they still see me as a wicked mum because I was so strict with them about their education. When he was younger, he was always saying that he would want to be like Michael Jackson and I always tell him, this is Africa, Nigeria, You don't expect what works for them there to work for us here. When he started going to dance competitions and he started winning, then I knew he was destined for that and I asked God in prayer to reveal to me if music was his calling. I didn't know it would come that early, sometimes when he was going out, I would asked God to reveal to me if he was going to make headway in music and God revealed to me that he's made to be popular musically. That was the time he won the Hyundai from Hip Hop Awards when he had not even released any record except singles. Briefly tell us about your name? I'm Mrs. Omolara Ojosipe, I have been a teacher for 26 years but now I am in the Federal inspectorate section under the ministry of education. I am not supposed to grant this interview because I am in the civil service and I don't want my face to show.

SPORTS : Balotelli Banned For Three Matches

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has been banned for three matches after being dismissed off the pitch against Napoli on Sunday. The Striker angrily confronted the referee following the Rossoneri's 2-1 loss to the Partenopei, picking up a second yellow card for dissent in the process. Being dismissed for two bookable offences carries a mandatory one-match suspension, but the Italian league has opted to extend Balotelli's punishment for "directing insulting and intimidating expressions to the referee at the time of the eviction, it confirmed in a statement. "The ban was given for misconduct against an opponent and protests against the match officials as well as addressing the referee with insulting and intimidating expressions," the judge in charge explained the decision. Balotelli had an memorable game on Sunday, missing the first penalty of his professional career, but making partial amends by netting spectacular consolation goal. The Italy international, who has scored three goals in four Serie A games this season, will miss Milan's fixtures against Bologna, Sampdoria and Juventus

SPORTS:Rooney Tried More Than Any Of His Team Mates

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta admits he thinks Wayne Rooney played much more than any of his Manchester United team-mates during their 4-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium. Manchester City skipper, Vincent Kompany suggested after the derby victory, that City wanted the win more than their United counterparts. Rooney was one of the only United players to come out with any credit and Zabaleta believes his work-rate in the game dispelled Rooney's claim that Liverpool represented a bigger match for United than taking on City. "I saw Rooney. He was one of their main players, he tried more than anyone else in the Manchester United team," admitted Zabaleta "He says Liverpool is still the big game. But I saw him working so hard, so probably it proves this game is just as important to him as United against Liverpool. "When the game is like that, and you see the team playing like that against a team like Manchester United, you know it's a special game." Zabaleta also believes the win over United will boost the confidence of new boss Manuel Pellegrini and the club's new signings as they look to regain the Premier League title this season. "This result has helped the manager, his staff and all the new players," said Zabaleta

Meanwhile, turnover from football increased to £242.8m from the 2012 figure of £235.3m, with the Gunners reaping the financial benefits of their various commercial tie-ins, including the extended partnership with Emirates

LIFESTYLE: Inexpensive But Romantic Ways To Propose

Proposing used to be as simple as getting down on one knee and praying your girl says yes, but with the rising trend in larger than life proposals and with all the expectations women have today, men have got to up their game. Marriage Proposal doesn't have to be so expensive to be romantic. It could be very simple and yet very romantic and unforgettable. Here are a few inexpensive, simple and yet romantic ways you could propose and give your sweetheart that unforgettable memory. Go out for a night of dancingand ask the DJ or bandleader to pass you the mic so you can dedicate a song and propose on the dance floor. Gather a bunch of your friends and familyfor a party and have them put on a T-shirt bearing one of the words in the phrase "Will you marry me?" When you walk into the room with your girlfriend, suggest a group picture and let the shirts speak for themselves. Restaurants are often a very popular place to propose.Take her to any restaurant for any meal, though dinner usually works best. Call beforehand, and get their advice on the best way to propose in their restaurant. The proposal could be written out on a plate, or it could be in the menu or perhaps the waiter could deliver the ring along with your meal, or it could be in the dessert. If she is a football lover, you could get her a customized jerseythat has her favorite number and your name on it. Tell her you have a surprise for her in the bedroom. When she sees the jersey and tries to put it on, you tell her, Get down on one knee with the ring and say, "You can only wear it if you'll be my wife!" You could invite her over for dinner, prepare a nice meal.Spell out the marriage proposal on the refrigerator using alphabet magnets. Ask her to get something from the fridge. As she sees the proposal, get down on one knee and do your thing. It doesn't have to be on the fridge though, you could use the wall in the room, bathroom etc. If she is a movie lover, you could propose in the cinema. Most movie theaters have repeating advertising slides before the previews that can be purchased. Write her name up in lights, and be sure to get to the theater early enough. You could take her to the beach and propose there.Tell him or her that you want to draw a picture, but not to look till you are done. Then write the marriage proposal in the sand and bring them over to see what you've created, get down on one knee and propose. Invite her over and create a path to the engagement ring. For example, scatter petals from the front door to the bedroom, and then use more petals to spell out "Will you marry me?" These are just ideas that could be of help. The most important thing is to know what your lady likes and make your plans in line with that. However simple the proposal is, she'd appreciate you making an effort beyond the usual proposal.

POLITICS: Boko Haram Insurgency Will Soon Be a Thing Of The Past

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday in New York urged politician to put the nation's interest first in all their activities to ensure progress and speedy development of the country. Jonathan made the remark at a meeting with Nigerian living in the U.S. "Politicians should consider the interest of the country first before their own and as patriots they should not burn the building down because as stakeholders they have the interest of living there. Jonathan said the constitution provides for a four year term and a maximum of eight years term limit for elected executive office holders in the country. The president noted that the governors like other executive office holders have an eight years limit, explaining that at the end of an election, the elected person or persons should be given the opportunity to do the work assigned to them by the constitution. "You must allow the person that emerges to work,'' he said, ' He, however, stressed that a situation where some voters did not vote for the winner or winners should not give them the impetus to impede the work of the administration in power. "You must allow the person that emerges to do work in an atmosphere of peace for the growth of the country,'' the said, On security, Jonathan said that before now, the major security challenge facing the nation was armed robbery, but that with time terrorism had emerged as the major challenge taking the nation by surprise. He, however, stressed that the challenge of terrorism is being seriously tackled by the government. "I appreciate that we have a serious security challenge with Boko Haram insurgency. This is the area where the government is being blackmailed, but by the grace of God this will soon be a thing of the past . "Before now it was robbery, until terrorism took us by surprise. Soon it will be a thing of the past,''Jonathan stressed. Jonathan, noted that the privatisation of public facilities under the administration is carried out transparently adding that so far three billion dollars has been realised without any form of corruption compared to the privatisation that took place in the past. "In the country's past privatisation, we know what happened there and yet those who sat over the exercise are the same people who are opening their mouth wide to attack this administration,''the president told the gathering. On Nigerians in Diaspora, the president acknowledged that they had excelled in their respective professions in the U.S., stressing "Nigerians in Diaspora are an important group particularly those in the U.S.". According to him, the administration needs them to work in different areas of Nigerian economy. " You do not have to relocate to Nigeria to make the necessary impact, you can come and establish businesses to create jobs for your brothers and sisters at home,'' Jonathan said. The coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, in her remarks said that the country's economy was growing stronger, noting that the Jonathan's transformation agenda is helping the economy. She said that government had created jobs to reduce the unemployment rate in the country since its assumption of office about two and half years ago and will continue to expand the drive. The Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr Olusegun Aganga, noted that the nation's budget deficit was less than two per cent, explaining that the government had embraced fiscal discipline to manage the economy better. Aganga also said that Nigeria is a high growth and high return nation, indicating that Nigeria is ranked fourth as an investment destination nation. Nigerian Ambassador to the U.S., Prof. Ade Adefuye said that election of the president was God's intervention in the affairs of the country. Adefuye added that Jonathan's administration had brought a paradigm shift in Nigeria, by putting the right people in key positions in driving the affairs of the country in the right direction and internationally acceptable standards. The ambassador also commended the president for ensuring that Nigerians abroad who have done well are brought back into the system. "This is the first government that has made it possible for Nigerians abroad to tap into governance,'' he said. "It is thoughtful of President Goodluck Jonathan to seek the inputs of Nigerian professionals from various fields on how to facilitate and speed up development in Nigeria. "I thank him for recognising the fact that those of us in the Diaspora have enormous skills that we can employ to enhance development in the country. "President Jonathan's pledge to involve Nigerians in the Diaspora, particularly those in the U.S., in nation-building is highly commendable,'' Dr Acho Orabuchi, an educationist living in the U.S.said

10 Dirty things You Touch Daily

We reveal the top ways in which we get gems on our body each day. 1. Money Everybody loves money, but nobody loves the germs that comes along with it! Yuck. From the Ralphs cashier to the business executive's office to the homeless man on the street, there's an enormous amount of bacteria on every buckaroo in your pocket. Dr. Darlington, the Health Commissioner of New York, found 135,000 bacteria from washing one bill and 126,000 from another. The way to tackle this problem is easy: wash your hands. 2. Light Switch Somebody's got to do it, and usually it's the last person in the room. So pack up your things quick and get out of there because turning off the light switch in a public area is just about the nastiest task anyone can be assigned to do, besides counting rolls of money (refer to #1). All the itty bitty germs love swirling around on the plastic switch that's touched by millions of dirty fingers over the years add up to about 217 bacteria/square inch. According to a local restroom sanitation glossary, that's what you'd call a common contact point where germs are transmitted. Clorox wipe, anyone? 3. Computer Keyboard The computer's your friend (except when it freezes on you in the most pivotal moments of life) but its accompanying keyboard is a nemesis thriving with germs. In a study from a British consumer group in 2009, 33 computer keyboards were randomly sampled and out of these tested four were considered a health hazard. One was even discovered to have more bacteria than your average toilet. The only way to clean (or delete) this pile of cooties is to spray the keyboard with a can of compressed air and wipe with a cloth dipped in mild detergent. 4. Cell Phones Forget the dog. Cell phones are a modern (wo)man's best friend. Heck, the average person probably touches, taps, or strokes their or her cell phone more times than they pet their neglected pooch at home. New research from the United Kingdom show that mobile phones are a technological petri dish for tens and thousands of germs, mainly due to the heat that they generate as well as the bacteria it shares with your hands and face. Next time, consider an anti-microbial coating for your phone or frequent anti-bacterial wipe-downs. Or sterile rubber gloves every time you touch or use your phone, always disposing of them in a furnace immediately afterward. 5. Toilet Though the toilet seat has been good to you on many a bad days, its porcelain white surface is party-host to all sorts of diseases and viruses. Statistics show that there are 295 bacteria for every square inch of the cold, smooth surface. Though that's not as bad as the 3.2 million on the toilet bowl, it's still not a place to rest your head on at night - or in the morning. 6. Shopping Cart Sorry to be a killjoy, but surfing down the grocery aisle just got a lot less fun. Think of every possible bacteria-filled thing a person can touch - well, once they hit their local supermarket, those things can also be found on the handle of any shopping cart. In fact, there may even be things on there that you haven't touched. A study from the University of Arizona found that shopping carts were loaded with more bacteria, saliva, and fecal matter than escalators, public telephones, and even public bathrooms. So next time you're at a supermarket, you might as well pick yourself up some Purell. Shop and squirt, shop and squirt… 7. Remote Control How many times has ice cream splattered onto your remote control and you've just ignored it? Or even worse, smeared it across the surface into an expansive-but-barely-there layer? Add to that the MRSA, VRE and SARS bacteria that is easily transferable by touching TV remotes, and you've got yourself one soiled artifact. Next channel, please. 8. Bathtub Sure, you're all clean and spiffy, but what about your bathtub? The bathtub is home to many toxic bacterias that is often left unnoticed. That is, until someone in the family catches a staph infection, urinary tract infection, pneumonia, septicemia, or some form of a skin condition. Believe it or not, bacteria left lingering near the drain of a bathtub is worse than bacteria found in the toilet. By cleaning the bathtub with bathroom cleaner just once a week, you can minimize these unwanted germs (and illnesses) from you and your loved ones. Go on, give it a good rub-a-dub-dub. 9. Kitchen Sink Contrary to popular opinion, the kitchen may actually be the dirtiest place in the house. Of course, that's not including your dirty little brother Jimmy's bedroom but that's another story. Anyway, there's typically 500,000 bacteria per square inch in the kitchen sink drain alone, so you can only imagine the total gunk with faucet handles and all. To solve the problem from the inside out, try pouring 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup of vinegar down the drain. Finally, rinse with hot water, and you just might hear your sink burp a clean gurgle of delight. 10. Kitchen Sponge Now it just seems like I'm messing with your head. But I'm not. It's true. The very sponge that takes the grit off of your dishes and bathroom sink, is really the dirtiest of them all. The yellow and green icon of the kitchen is really a cozy home for germs. Its moist, micro-crevices make it harder to disinfect, so instead of wiping surfaces clean with a sponge, users are really just transferring bacteria from one place to another. An easy remedy is to microwave the sponge for 60 seconds-it improves the odor too

Simple Things You Don't Know About HIV/AIDS

Despite its prevalence many people are still ignorant about the danger of HIV/AIDS, the Administrator, Hope for HIV/AIDS International, Lolade Abioye has said. During an interview with The Nation, she said: "Do you know that people still have lots of questions about the ways one can get HIV. Discrimination and stigmatisation still abound in the country. There is a high prevalence of people living in denial. Even when people are counselled and they opt for voluntary testing, and per chance their results are positive, you find out that they won't want others to know their status. And one can deduce that people are not coming out to avail themselves of the free VCT again. Though the prevalence of the disease is stable in the country at the moment, "But discrimination is still rampant. And that is part of the reasons I wont support self screening kit for HIV. If people are given a device to test for HIV won't they hide away and spread same, or do those persons even have the expertise to screen for HIV? She added: "HIV causes AIDS. HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. It breaks down the immune system - our body's protection against disease. HIV causes people to become sick with infections that normally wouldn't affect them. AIDS is short for acquired immune deficiency syndrome. It is the most advanced stage of HIV disease." On the symptoms of the disease, she said: "Some people develop HIV symptoms shortly after being infected. But it usually takes more than 10 years. There are several stages of HIV disease. The first HIV symptoms may include swollen glands in the throat, armpit, or groin. Other early HIV symptoms include slight fever, headaches, fatigue, and muscle aches. These symptoms may last for only a few weeks. Then there are usually no HIV symptoms for many years. That is why it can be hard to know if you have HIV. The best way to know if one has HIV is to test. You cannot know for sure if you have HIV until you get tested. About one out of five people with HIV don't know they are infected, so testing is very important. "You don't have to wait for AIDS symptoms to appear, if they appear, it means one is in the most advanced stage of HIV disease. In addition to a badly damaged immune system, a person with AIDS may also have "But there are many ways you can protect yourself from HIV. The surest way is to abstain from sexual intercourse and from sharing needles and "works" if you use steroids, hormones, or other drugs. Many people have been infected with HIV by sharing needles. If you are using needles for steroids, hormones, or other drugs be sure to disinfect the needles you use. Never share needles. Get into a needle-exchange programme. Don't share personal items that may have blood on them. This includes toothbrushes, razors, needles for piercing or tattooing, and blades for cutting or scarring. If you choose to have sex, have safer sex to reduce the risk of exchanging blood, semen, or vaginal fluids with your sex partner/s." The administrator wants the government to look at the management of HIV/AIDS in pediatrics. Her reasons? "Nutrition wise most pediatrics are not well fed, they are under nourished. Government should provide free infant feeds to help parents who are poor. Also, pediatrics' presciptions should be adapted to syrup and be flavoured with gummit, vannila or fruity flavour to enhance easy intake and compliance. "Though there is a Guideline which is very comprehensive and provides guide on the standard processes and methods for conduct of service provision at facilities that offer care for management and prevention of pediatrics HIV and AIDS including associated conditions such as tuberculosis (TB) co-infections, Provider-Initiated Testing and Counselling (PITC) in children and adolescents and Antiretroviral therapy in infants and children, still the implementation aspect call for more action. "I will make case for positive mothers as well. More centres of Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCTC) should be equipped appropriately. UNICEF is trying but Government should improve on the centres." On mode of transmission of HIV, Project Officer, Olayinka Babafemi said, "HIV is transmitted through blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. "The most common ways HIV is spread are by having vaginal or anal intercourse without a condom with someone who has HIV/AIDS; sharing needles or syringes with someone who has HIV/AIDS; being deeply punctured with a needle or surgical instrument contaminated with HIV; getting HIV-infected blood, semen, or vaginal secretions into open wounds or sores; babies born to women with HIV/AIDS can get HIV from their mothers during birth or from breastfeeding. HIV is not transmitted by simple casual contact such as kissing, sharing drinking glasses, or hugging."

SPORTS: I Never Felt The Business Was Unfinished - Mourinho

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho believes he "left something" at the club that contributed to their 2012 Champions League victory, he added that he did not feel he had unfinished business with the Blues. Jose said, winning a third Champions League trophy for himself and a second for chelsea was an "objective" rather than an obsession. Mourinho never went passed the semi-finals of the competition during his first spell at Chelsea, but denied that had created any pressure for him to go further. "I don't think you can look at it in that perspective," he said. "For me, the important thing is that Chelsea had a dream, and the dream came true by winning the Champions League. "It's normal that, if you win it once, you dream to win it twice. That happened to me. And, when I won it the second time, I dreamed to win it a third time. That's the nature of football. "But when you work in a club and prepare for the future, wanting to leave something in the club that remains for years, your business doesn't finish the day you leave. Your business finishes the day everything you did disappears. "So, for example, the other day I was looking at Real Madrid's team and Real Madrid played the same system, the same players, and changed just (Gareth) Bale for (Mesut) Ozil. I'm not there, but I left something there. With Chelsea, it's a bit the same. I never felt the business was unfinished.

"Nigerians Encourage Corruption"-Goodluck Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has lamented that in spite of institutional reforms aimed at fighting corrupt practices, Nigerians, through their actions encourage graft. He also said both the public and private sectors were involved in corruption but stated that he would not give out their names "so that I won't be attacked." The President spoke while declaring open the54th annual conference of the Nigerian Economic Society in Abujaon Tuesday. The conference, which has as its theme,"Institutions, institutional reforms and economic development,"is the singlelargestgathering ofeconomistsin the country. Jonathan argued that if Nigerians did not"reward corrupt practices"through their actions, those involved in them would have no need to continue. He said, "I want a society where all of us will frown upon people who come up with what they are not supposed to have. "(If) a young man who just started a job and within six months or a year comes up with a car of N7m to N15m and you clap for him, then you are rewarding corruption. "So for us as a nation to bring corruption down, it is not just blaming government or blaming the police butall individuals must frown upon people who have what they are not supposed to have; who live in houses they are not supposed to live in; who drive cars they are not supposed to drive and who wear expensive suits they are not supposed to wear. "And until Nigerians are able to do this, I don't think we will get to where we want to go." Advising that the war against corruption should not be left to the government alone, Jonathan said both public and private institutions were also involved in sharp practice. He advised that the country should stop creating an environment where people would be tempted to take what belonged to the public. {read_more} The President said" When you talk about corruption, the private sector is involved; the public sector is involved; even individuals. But I wouldn't want to mention names so that I will not be attacked. "But I know that if collectively we don't reward corruption, people would not be attracted to corrupt practices but when we all reward corruption, then of course, we will be tempted to go in that direction." He however saidhis administration would continue to focus on how to strengthen all anti-corruption agenciesto enable them discharge their duties effectively. Jonathan explained that his administration's approach to fighting graft wastargeted at building institutionsthat had the capacity toovercome corrupt influences. This approach, according to him, will use the rule of law as a framework. In this regard, he said the leadership of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other-Related Offences Commission had been repositioned to ensure effective, efficient and transparent way of managing corruption and corrupt practices. He said that a major principle underlying the implementation of his transformation agenda was the unwavering conviction that reforms must not be centred on individuals, no matter how strong they might be. Rather, he said his administration recognised the fact that in order for reforms to be sustainable, they must be driven by strong, sound and effective processes and institutions. On the management of government finances, Jonathan said thatthe nation's budget was now being managed electronically. He said, "For many years, the process had been manual - government officials carrying documents and files from one office to another. "This manual system created opportunities for corrupt practices and also introduced many ghost workers and ghost pensioners to the payrolls. "Today, we have put in place computerised systems and processesto manage the government payroll and also government finances." At the event, the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and a former Minister of Health, Prof Eyitayo Lambo, were conferred with a fellowship award of the NES. The institute had only conferred its fellowship award on 38 distinguished economists in its 56 years of existence.

Charlie Boy is Depressed

Controversial Charly Boy is battling financial hardship and not just that he claims it is about being in a state of helplessness. In an article titled'Escape from the Wilderness'. Read what Charlie Boy wrote: Does anyone know how I really feel right now? So alone and empty, God! how I feel the pain. If you're in the wilderness like me, then you know it can be insane. Here, my eyes are bleeding tears and my smiles are protecting my fears.I can't even go around and fake happy, because I'm in stagnation and it is hitting me from all directions. There is this disturbing feeling that time is passing me by, yet I'm paralyzed, I can't move and I can't think too far. At nights I can't sleep too easy, my heart is sore and my mind perpetually clustered with things that leave me shaking. Oh!!! God why? I have prayed I have fasted but nothing has changed, it's almost a year now. My dreams are nothing but nightmares of all the negatives in this wilderness. What's happening to me? Look at me, I have always enjoyed comforting and giving directions to people in pain, right now I can't even save myself and I have refused to take my own pills.Na so life be?On top of all of this, I'm so f…..king broke it's a shame. No! It's not just that I'm low in cash, but most importantly, it is about being in this state of helplessness, I'm not too proud to ask anyone for favour, but who will believe I need financial help when they have put me on such a high pedestal. Wow, is this a case of Grace to Grass? Who would guess I'm dying slowly when all they can see is my biceps and triceps. I have always been the joy giver, I have put smiles on millions of faces and have inspired and motivated an army of youths, yet I can't seem to talk myself out of this rot, out of this wilderness, hummmmm!! Why won't this feeling of hopelessness leave me alone, I know I can do more than I'm doing for now, I know I deserve more. Too many times I have asked God, why me, why do I have to go through this wilderness.I am hardworking, forward looking, positive thinking, so why do I have to suffer like this.Is it the system or is it me, what the heck is this dark cloud that has come over me. I no longer look forward to tomorrow or getting out of my bed, because a new day comes without hope. Nothing seems to make sense anymore; nothing around me inspires me again. I feel like I'm vegetating, I feel as if I I'm glued to this limbo, with no hope of an escape. Now I'm hugging myself, not sharing myself with my loved ones because I am suddenly taking out my frustrations on the people around me.Oh! Lord I must take control of my life; again, I must escape from this wilderness. Does this sound a bit or a lot like your story right now? Are you in that dark place in your life, where everything more or less seems to be grinding to a halt and you don't know what to do? Well, it happens to the best of us. I have learnt that in all things, one should give thanks. Most of the time we are not entirely grateful for what we possess, because we always believe that we need more than we have right now.If this is the case, we will continue to need more. This cycle will perpetuate as long as our mind believes it's true. If we focus on what we have and not what we lack, we will always have enough, because it will always be enough. Yes, it is hard to stay cool when things are not sitting right, the way we would like in our lives. We are the ones who lose in the end, if we lose the lesson.Shey you dey feel my yarn?In this wilderness I have learnt that a rich man is not someone who has the most, but someone who needs the least. Yesooooooo!!!!! I'm sharing all this with you so I can feel lighter. We will always have problems, often tested by circumstances outside our control, but we certainly can control our reaction to those situations. We have the power because our inner world (cause) affects the influence we allow the outer world (effect) to have on us. Being in the wilderness is always a result of anxiety about the uncertain future. So, let's stop and ask ourselves. "What's the specific uncertainty that is causing you to be afraid" once you have identified that uncertainty, it is usually easier to simply accept its presence in your life, just for the time being. I know that life is about the journey and not the arrival. We don't need to arrive if we accept that we are already there. Not everyone woke up this morning and not everyone is going to bed tonight.Life has no guarantees; every minute we are living is a blessing that has to be experienced in the moment. It's not always easy, but it's always an option or a choice
